Presented during American Education Week in November 2009
Deadline for Nominations: September 15, 2009
AWARD RATIONALE:
The Award is presented to an individual based on leadership for significant contributions and outstanding advocacy for the College of Education. This award will recognize distinguished service to the College of Education and provide an opportunity to establish new standards of excellence to which others may aspire. This award is presented to dedicated individuals that represent the mission of the College of Education: preparing professionals to educate and lead in the 21st Century.
CRITERIA FOR SELECTION:
1. Serving in a capacity that advances the College of Education by volunteering time and networking support;
2. Promoting the College of Education through fundraising, advocacy and other major initiatives;
3. Inspiring and involving others in specific issues related to the College of Education;
4. Providing financial support to the College of Education; and
5. Assisting with events sponsored by the College of Education.
SECTION II: EXAMPLES OF TIME, TALENT AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT:
1. Describe the nominee’s role and background with the College of Education by listing specific volunteer services or support.
2. Describe how the nominee has made a difference in extending the work of the College of Education into the larger community.
3. Describe how the nominee has provided support that has enabled others to serve.
4. Provide any other information that supports this nomination.
SELECTION COMMITTEE:
Advisory Board members, Department Head, Faculty Representative (Endowed Professor or Senior Faculty Member), Academic Council Member.
