After getting my BA from NC State in philosophy in 2003, I left school for a few years to work in the human services field. For eight years, I worked in a series of ever-slightly higher-paying and less gratifying positions until this past October when I "opted out" of employment to concentrate on graduate school full time.
I'm currently in the department's Masters program for Adult & Higher Education with a specialization in Community College Teaching. (And further "specializing" in English.) This is my second (and final?) year in the program.
In all the spare time that can be mustered while taking five courses, I enjoy playing with beads and making funky rosaries. (Website/catalog listed below for the so-inclined.)
