- About Me:
- A Raleigh native, I am a graduate of the Wake County Public School System and two-time alumnae of N.C. State University (’85 BA Communications, ’98-MEd Curriculum and Instruction/Elementary Ed). After teaching second grade in the WCPSS for 13 years and 4 years working as a professional development consultant in the district, I came to NC State in 2003 as the Managing Director of SUCCEED. I live in Raleigh with my husband and two sons.

Currently
As Director of SUCCEED, the focus of my work is supporting research and extension related to teacher professional development across the career span. I am currently working in collaboration with the Elementary Education Department to create a professional development program for School-Based-Teacher-Educators and University Supervisors. The goal of this project is to prepare a skilled cadre of teacher educators that can effectively support the professional growth of our pre-service teachers.
I also serve as clinical faculty working with Dr. Alan Reiman in the Curriculum Development and Supervision master’s program. I co-instruct ECI 705, supervise practica and internships and assist with program assessment activities.
